This camp shirt is made by hand at our atelier from crocheted yarn that was pieced together by on the outskirts of Marrakech. It takes up to one week to crochet enough fabric for one piece.
Each shirt is inspired from the 19th century Cuban 'Guayabera', a relaxed work shirt with a loose fitting collar worn by farmers to keep cool in warm conditions. At the time Cuban immigrants introduced the camp shirt in New York and Miami in the 1950's, the style was so unlike others worn by Americans. Read the on our journal.
