This kimono is made by hand in our atelier from natural patchwork cactus silk fabric. Each kimono's front collar is trimmed with handwoven fabric, cactus silk fabric, or West African mud cloth.
What is this colorful fabric Cactus silk, also known as vegetable silk or Sabra silk, is a plant-derived silk harvested from Saharan aloe vera cacti in northern Morocco. Read the full on our journal to discover how we repurpose it at our atelier into a collection of one-of-a-kind shoes, clothing, home goods, and accessories available to shop online and in stores.

Our one-of-a-kind products are made responsibly and with love. We believe that you get back what you put out. Please treat with care.
CLEANING NOTE: When cleaning the kimono and when working with cactus silk in general, do not machine wash cactus silk. We recommend you dry clean by accredited dry cleaners. As the cactus silk fabrics are naturally dyed with vegetable dyes, getting them wet sometimes will lead to discoloration.
